Registration is open for an ISMA webinar to be held at noon on Wednesday, May 7, to explain the ins and outs of Medicaid. Krieg DeVault attorneys Meghan M. Linvill McNab, JD, CPA, and Grant Achenbach, JD, will discuss how Medicaid works at the state and federal level, how funding works, changes on the horizon, what might happen and when, and how that may affect ISMA members and their patients.
McNab is a partner at Krieg DeVault, concentrating her practice in the area of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and compliance matters. She has significant experience counseling hospitals and nursing facilities on Intergovernmental Transfers and Upper Payment Limit programs for Medicaid reimbursement, as well as experience in structuring transactions for compliance with these programs.
Prior to counseling Krieg DeVault’s clients, McNab was a senior healthcare consultant working in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and cost reporting. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
Achenbach joined Krieg DeVault from the ISMA, where he served as the Director of Government Relations. Achenbach was instrumental in lobbying on behalf of ISMA and other health care partners before the Indiana General Assembly. Achenbach also advocated for ISMA’s physician members before the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, the Indiana Department of Insurance, the Family and Social Services Administration, the Indiana Department of Health, and other state agencies. He uses his experience and extensive network of relationships with legislators and stakeholders to assist ISMA’s Commission on Legislation.
