With the sunset of the COVID-19 federal public health emergency coming on May 11, the Indiana Family and Social Service Administration is teaming up with ISMA to provide a live CME webinar on what it means for Medicaid members and providers.

Nonis Spinner, director of eligibility and member services for the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning, will lead the live Zoom discussion in “The End of Medicaid Continuous Coverage Protections and Return to Normal Operations for Indiana Medicaid: Impact on All Providers” on March 23 from noon to 1 p.m. ET.

In her role at FSSA, Spinner oversees a team of policy analysts who interpret federal regulations and statutes for workers and members across the state and manages a team of member services analysts who troubleshoot Medicaid eligibility issues. Spinner also advises the technical teams that support eligibility determination and benefit management for over 2 million Hoosiers who rely on Indiana’s Medicaid programs for their health care coverage.

Topics covered will include understanding the 12-month operational work to return to normal Indiana Medicaid operations, for both members and providers, after the end of continuous coverage protections and the state’s efforts to educate Hoosiers about the steps they need to take to retain current or secure new health care coverage.

The live session is free to members, and nonmembers can participate for $75.

A recording of the session will be available to members at no charge through the ISMA Online app.  Nonmembers may subscribe to all archived ISMA Online content for $400; learn more here.
