Former state Sen. Kevin Boehnlein (R-Greenville) was named 2022 Legislator of the Year during the 146th Annual ISMA Convention. The award recognized him as author of Senate Enrolled Act 239, which prohibits deceptive advertising to promote the services of health care professionals and requires professionals to prominently state their profession or license in advertisements.

“ISMA is honored to bestow upon Sen. Kevin Boehnlein the 2022 Legislator of the Year Award,” said ISMA Vice President of Government Affairs John Ruckelshaus. “Today, Hoosiers are more informed and patient safety is advanced because of his efforts.”
