Consider being an ISMA County Delegate at ISMA’s 176th Annual Convention, September 26–28 at Embassy Suites in Noblesville. As a delegate, you represent your county’s physicians and play a key role in shaping the policies that guide the practice of medicine in Indiana. It’s an outstanding opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the state and have a direct voice in ISMA’s official policymaking body.
Role as a County Delegate:
- August: Engage with ISMA Pulse, the online hub to follow the implementation of 2024 resolutions, and track, review, and comment on proposed 2025 resolutions, expiring resolutions, and policy updates. Stay informed, share perspective, and help craft the future of medicine in Indiana. Pulse makes the resolution process easy, transparent, and accessible for ALL members to be involved in the policy-making process. Commenting on Pulse is open through Aug. 29.
- Saturday, Sept. 27: Prior to the 8 a.m. opening session of the House of Delegates, participate in New Delegate Orientation. After the HOD session, attend reference committee meetings starting at 9 a.m. to hear, discuss, and refine resolutions.
- Sunday, Sept. 28: Vote on the resolutions, starting at 9 a.m.; business wraps up around 1 pm.
Serving as a delegate means having a say in how medicine is practiced, amplifying your county’s voice, and building lasting connections with fellow physicians statewide. It’s leadership, fellowship, service, and advocacy — all in one rewarding experience.
