ISMA Past President Alvin Haley dies at 97
ISMA Past President Alvin John Haley, MD, of Carmel died on June 24. He was 97. 

Dr. Haley was born in Hartford City and was a Navy World War II veteran. After graduating from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1953, Dr. Haley was a practicing physician for 50 years. 

Dr. Haley was president of ISMA in 1981. He was awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash in 1997. 

Dr. Haley is survived by his wife Sara, five children, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis in the future.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Second Presbyterian Church or the Humane Society for Hamilton County, Indiana.
