Registration opens soon! Build your wellness toolkit with CME workshop
Being a physician is an incredible gift. We have the opportunity to save lives and change lives for the better. We also work long, emotionally and physically demanding hours, during which patients’ lives may be at stake. All this can take a toll on physicians’ well-being. If you’re looking for new ways to thrive personally and professionally, stay tuned for information on how to register for this year’s pre-convention physician wellness workshop. “Building Your Wellness Toolkit” is set for Friday of convention weekend from 10 am to 3 pm. CME credit will be offered for this two-session workshop, which is led by two top experts on physician wellness and self-care.

Lynette Charity, MD, will lead “A Prescription for Success in Your Medical Career.” Dr. Charity is a dynamic and energetic speaker who uses her talent as a masterful storyteller to teach fellow physicians how to recognize the three most prevalent symptoms of depression, how to redirect the “negative voices” that may cause us to do harm, and how to react to today’s “health care soap opera” with laughter.
    C. Nicole Swiner, MD,  will cover “Working Smarter, Not Harder, in Primary Care.” Dr. Swiner, known as “DocSwiner,” is among the nation’s top experts on self-care, physician burnout and well-being and was voted one of 10 Best Doctors in North Carolina. She has written two best-selling books, including “How to Avoid the Superwoman Complex” – the false belief that one person can be all things to all people, perfectly.  Her interests include minority health, women’s health, self-care and entrepreneurship.
