Tom Martens, Director of Insurance, celebrated his 45th anniversary at ISMA.

“I'm filled with gratitude for all the people I've worked alongside over the years – from ISMA, Anthem, Brown and Brown, other insurance agencies, and medical practices across the state – and for the many great relationships I've enjoyed with ISMA members and their spouses,” he said. 

Martens manages the overall administration of the ISMA health insurance program, including maintenance of eligibility, premium administration and customer service. He is the longest-tenured staff member of ISMA. He recently took over the interim position of technology liaison in anticipation of Convention.

He gives a lot of credit to Jolene Collins, Insurance Coordinator and Billing Specialist, and John Enderle, Insurance Account Manager, who help support physicians and spouses who participate in the ISMA-sponsored Anthem Medicare Supplement and physicians and employees who participate in the Medical Practice Consortium group plan for independent medical practices in Indiana.

"Tom has been behind the scenes supporting the physicians of Indiana with his expertise and quiet competency for over 4 decades!" ISMA Executive Vice President Clif Knight, MD, said. "The ISMA and our members have benefited from Tom's dedication to the physicians of Indiana."
