Physician Assistance Program coordinator, education director join staff
Jennifer Jackson-Harr, MSW, LCSW, has joined the ISMA staff as coordinator of the Physician Assistance Program, while former Director of Education Ranae Obregon will return to ISMA in an expanded role as director of education and physician resources.

Jackson-Harr has two decades of experience working with clients experiencing mental health and addiction issues. Most recently, she worked as a program manager for the Prescription for Hope program with Eskenazi Health, as a case manager with the Seamless Transition Integrated Care Clinic at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, and as a clinician with the Pedigo Clinic, all in Indianapolis.

“What drew me to this position with ISMA is the opportunity to advocate for physicians,” Jackson-Harr said. “After working in health care for so many years, I’ve seen the barriers they face in daily practice and understand the high standard of accountability to which they’re held. I’m looking forward to being a part of the safeguard for Hoosier physicians and patients.”

Obregon will rejoin ISMA on Aug. 8. She served ISMA as director of education from 2017 to 2018 and assisted in a part-time capacity after that. Most recently, Obregon served as physician relations consultant and director of business health services for St. Joseph Health of Mishawaka. Previously, she managed the continuing medical education (CME) program for South Bend-based Beacon Health.

“The CME profession has been a passion of mine for the past 17 years,” Obregon said.

“I look forward to returning to the ISMA to continue the work removing barriers and addressing the educational needs of Indiana physicians, with an expanded focus around physician wellness and social drivers of health.”
