All 13 of ISMA’s districts have held their 2023 annual meetings, where officers were elected and ISMA staff gave updates on member programs and advocacy over the past year. Twenty-seven state legislators accepted invitations to attend this year’s meetings, answering questions and discussing health care-related issues while continuing to emphasize the importance of year-round communication with physician constituents.
New officers will assume their duties following the 174th Annual ISMA Convention in September.
Per ISMA bylaws, a trustee and alternate trustee cannot be elected in the same calendar year. District 5 and District 8 will therefore have an interim alternate trustee for one year, filled by the district president.
