The Indiana State Medical Association was well-represented at the American Medical Association 2023 Annual Meeting of the House of Delegates in Chicago June 9-14.

Topics of focus during the meeting included fixing Medicare physician pay, physician well-being, and scope of practice issues. Read the AMA’s recap of the annual meeting here. 

The ISMA Medical Student Society, which comprises Indiana University School of Medicine and Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine students, also made the trip to Chicago, spending time at the AMA Medical Student Section Meeting June 7-9. Students were able to co-author and speak on resolutions while enjoying time and collaborating with other medical students from Region 5 and beyond. Read the recap here.
