Congratulations to Erin Jefferson, DO, who was recently elected president of the Fort Wayne Medical Society (FWMS) for 2020-2021!

Dr. Jefferson is a family medicine physician and Indianapolis native. She teaches in the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program, where she completed her own residency after graduating from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University. Dr. Jefferson is medical director of the Fort Wayne Family Medicine Center.  

As a FWMS trustee, Dr. Jefferson worked with other team members to update the organization’s website. 

“Moving forward, I hope to continue to find new/creative ways to engage with our membership in person and virtually,” she said in her President’s Message.  “I do believe that this will be even more important as we recognize that socially distanced interactions will be encouraged for the foreseeable future.”
