When the COVID-19 pandemic once again preempted ISMA’s annual Women in Medicine Retreat this year, the Women in Medicine Committee decided to create a new opportunity for women physicians and medical students to connect with one another, network and discuss topics of shared significance. The result was the monthly Women in Medicine (WIM) Discussion Forum.
The Zoom sessions, which are free and open to all ISMA women members, take place the third Tuesday of each month from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET. After a brief opening presentation, speakers facilitate a group discussion on a designated topic. Participants who complete a learner assessment survey at the end of a session may earn CME credit.
