CDC updates monkeypox case-finding guidance
As of today (Thursday, June 23), more than 140 cases of monkeypox have been identified in the U.S., including two in Indiana, with the number continuing to rise daily. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), some clinical cases have shown uncharacteristic features, raising concerns that additional cases were being missed and were not being tested.

The CDC has issued a health alert to help physicians and other health care professionals recognize the history, signs and symptoms of monkeypox in order to refer patients for testing.
