ISMA is pleased to announce that Jan Hailey has taken over as ISMA’s practice management consultant, effective June 10, 2024. Carol Hoppe of MedLucid Solutions, LLC, had filled the independent contractor position since 2017. 

Working with ISMA, Hailey will answer questions from ISMA staff and physician members about practice management issues such as billing and reimbursement.

Hailey has more than 30 years of experience in health care and is proficient in administration, coding, and billing roles, and teaches medical office professionals around the country how to excel in their careers.  

An Elkhart resident, Hailey was the group practice manager for Elkhart General Medical Group from 2007 to 2012, when EGMG merged with Memorial Hospital to become Beacon Medical Group. Hailey then served as director of quality, coding and compliance for Beacon until moving to Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka as director of quality, care management, and managed care ACO.

In 2022, Hailey started Practice Matters, LLC, dedicating her full-time work to consulting.

ISMA thanks Hoppe for her guidance over the last several years, and also for recommending Hailey to fill her role.
