BOT considers 4 resolutions referred for Action, Study; approves code of conduct for convention, Pulse
At its May 2024 meeting, the ISMA Board of Trustees considered and/or acted on four resolutions referred to the Board for Action or Study by the 2023 House of Delegates.

Resolution 23-05 Medical Cannabis (Not adopted)

Resolution 23-60 Protecting Physicians’ Licenses and Patients from Unauthorized Collaborative Practice Agreements (Adopted as amended)

Resolution 23-22 Automatic Dues Renewal (Study)

Resolution 23-52 Education Campaigns Regarding Physician-Patient Issues (Study)

A moment of silence was held in honor of Michael Kellams, DO, who passed away in April. Dr. Kellams was the current District 9 trustee.

Trustees approved a new code of conduct for ISMA Pulse and convention. The code of conduct aims to prevent unauthorized disclosures about ISMA policy and clarify that “whereas” clauses are not ISMA policy. Members will be prompted to agree to the code when registering for convention and/or using ISMA Pulse or the ISMA website.
