AMA: Physician Practice Information (PPI) Survey due by June 30
The AMA’s national Physician Practice Information (PPI) Survey, supported by more than 170 national, state and specialty medical associations, including ISMA, is collecting representative data on physician practice expenses. The survey aims to gather accurate data on practice costs and the patient care hours that physicians provide to support fair and accurate physician payment.

A financial expert in each sampled physician practice or health system has been contacted via email and mail and will receive weekly reminders from PPISurvey@mathematica-mpr.com. Additionally, Mathematica, Medscape, and the AMA are contacting physicians in each sampled practice to alert them to their practice’s involvement and solicit information on direct patient care hours.

If you’re participating in the survey, you must complete it by June 30. All information you share will be kept private, reported in aggregate, and used only to inform the national estimates of practice expense per patient care hour.

Please don’t delay completing the survey. The input from physician practices and individual physicians is critical for this study's success, as it will ensure that practice expenses and patient care hours are accurately reflected.

If you have any questions or would like to speak to someone about this survey, please contact Mathematica at PPISurvey@mathematica-mpr.com or 1-833-770-1032.
