The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) is publishing monthly Medicaid financial reports to provide transparency and information about the expenditure, enrollment, and funding data of the Indiana Medicaid program.
OMPP developed the reporting to share data and trend information on the Indiana Medicaid program, which serves around 2 million Hoosiers. The monthly report compares actual monthly experience to forecasted projections across expenditures, enrollment, and funding.
The new reports come after lawmakers required additional monitoring and oversight over the program after it was discovered in December that a forecasting error resulted in a nearly $1 billion budget shortfall for Medicaid.
