Chronic pain is a multifactorial patient experience, encompassing psychological dimensions relevant to effective assessment and interdisciplinary treatment. Physicians may benefit from learning about psychological paradigms for understanding these factors, including psychological risk stratification and empirically supported approaches to effective long-term care. In this webinar, Anne Mary Montero, medical director for behavioral health at IU Health North Hospital, will give an overview of psychological approaches to chronic pain evaluation and management in the context of this complex area of medical care.
