Marie Brown, MD, will be presenting the American Medical Association’s (AMA) STEPS Forward program at the second annual Wellness Symposium at the ISMA Convention on Friday, Sept. 26. AMA STEPS Forward® Innovation Academy provides physicians with a variety of practice innovation resources that promote professional satisfaction, efficient use of technology, practice sustainability and quality patient care.
Dr. Brown is a practicing internist, a professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Rush Medical College in Chicago, the director of practice redesign for AMA and the immediate past governor of the American College of Physicians (ACP). Her areas of expertise include practice transformation, joy in medicine, adult immunizations, medication adherence and diabetes. Dr. Brown received her bachelor of science from the University of Dayton and her medical degree from Rush Medical College.
The 176th Annual ISMA Convention will be held from Sept. 26-28 at the Embassy Suites in Noblesville, 13700 Conference Center Drive South. The all-day wellness symposium, organized by the ISMA Physician Wellness Steering Committee, will be the opening event of convention weekend. Save the date; registration will open soon.
