Webinar provides medical licensure insights
Navigating the complexities of licensure will be easier after sharpening the understanding of the process from Indiana Medical Licensing Board (IMLB). ISMA will host an upcoming webinar, “The Licensure Playbook: What the Indiana Medical Board Wants You to Know.” The event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 24, from 6–7 p.m. ET. The live session is accredited for 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ and is free for ISMA members. Nonmembers may attend for $75. Registration is required by 5:30 p.m. ET the day of the event. Register today!

The program is designed to avoid common pitfalls during both initial licensure and renewal processes. Organizers say errors such as incomplete disclosures, misinterpretation of application questions and inconsistent reporting can delay or jeopardize licensure.

Participants will learn practical strategies to improve accuracy and transparency in applications, with a focus on aligning submissions with board expectations. The webinar will also address how legal, professional and personal events should be reported, and clarify common misconceptions that can lead to complications.

In addition, the session will explore factors that may trigger additional board review or require a physician's appearance. Faculty will outline risk mitigation strategies, documentation best practices and guidance on when to seek legal or professional assistance.

The webinar features a multidisciplinary panel of experts, including:

Clinical cardiac electrophysiologist
and adjunct clinical professor
