The First of its Kind Legislation

Governor Mike Braun ceremoniously signed SB 189/Public Law 119 into law on Tuesday. The legislation prohibits a health carrier from assessing a facility or provider an administrative fee or penalty related to the provision of care to an individual involving an out-of-network provider. Indiana is the first in the nation to have this legislation.
