Scammers marketing fake COVID-19 drugs, pharmacists warn
The Indiana Pharmacist’s Association (IPA) is asking physicians to counsel patients about ordering from online pharmacies that might be marketing unproven or fake treatments for COVID-19.

According to Darren Covington, JD, executive director of the IPA, the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy reviewed approximately 2,000 online pharmacies and found that 98% of them were either fraudulent or operating illegally.

The IPA advises anyone needing to file a prescription online to go here to find a safe online pharmacy. The Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies also has available resources for health professionals and patients.
