ISMA Past President John D. MacDougall dies
ISMA Past President John D. MacDougall, MD, Indianapolis, died April 2. He was 95.

Dr. MacDougall was a former chief of surgery and medical staff president at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove. He was also a past president of the St. Francis Advisory Board of Directors and past chairman of the Governing Board of Directors.

In addition to serving as ISMA president in 1988, Dr. MacDougall was a past president of the Indianapolis (formerly Marion County) Medical Society; a delegate and chair of the Indiana delegation to the American Medical Association; and president of the Organization of State Medical Association Presidents.

Dr. MacDougall was also a longtime supporter of the Indiana Medical History Museum, where he also served on the Board of Directors.
