March 19 WIM forum will discuss financial independence
Looking for a path towards financial freedom? Attend the next Women in Medicine Virtual Discussion Forum to start your journey.

Anna McKeone, MD, emergency medicine physician and president of Olympia Emergency Services, will lead the discussion, "The Bumpy Road to Financial Independence: Finance for Spenders,” on March 19 from 7 to 8 p.m. on Zoom. The session is accredited for 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

At the end of the webinar, attendees will be able to establish a healthy approach without being stressed about money, create a zero-based budget to maximize each dollar spent for cost-effectiveness, and be educated on obtaining financial freedom through basic budgeting, debt reduction, and smart maintenance.

WIM Virtual Discussion Forums are open to all female ISMA members. Additional forums are planned for May 21, July 16, and Nov. 19. An in-person event will be held during the 175th ISMA Annual Convention in September.

Currently, two of the webinars will offer CME:
  • July 16: Arpita Gupta DePalma, MD, “Processing Your Emotions Through Grace, Vulnerability, and Forgiveness.”
  • Nov. 19: Shannon Jones, MD, “Trauma Informed Care for Self and Others.”
