Meet ISMA’s new Member Relations liaison

Member Relations Liaison

I’m Ann C. McGrew, ISMA’s new member relations liaison. I’m excited to be a part of the largest physician organization in Indiana advocating for the well-being of physicians, their profession and their patients, including by offering a wealth of members-only benefits.

I’m originally from Morristown, Indiana, and graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington. I have over 15 years of professional business development, sales management and marketing experience. Most recently, I was customer development manager with American Greetings Corp., partnering with corporate buyers and small business owners to help them reach their goals. I now reside in Fishers with my husband and young daughter.

As ISMA member relations liaison, I’m the primary external contact between ISMA and current or potential physician members throughout the state. That includes working alongside various members of the ISMA team developing marketing outreach plans, with the objective of retaining current physician members and bringing new members on board. I also manage the customer experience for ISMA members through enhanced communication, problem solving, and proactively providing information to physicians, county and district societies, the ISMA Board and senior leadership.

Since ISMA is Indiana's largest physician organization, every physician’s participation is crucial to making sure the Hoosier State remains a favorable place to practice medicine. Membership gives physicians a voice in shaping policy and laws at the state and national levels, as well as opportunities to network with colleagues and health care officials.

Other benefits of ISMA membership include discounts on vaccines, office supplies, malpractice insurance and continuing medical education; flat-fee contract reviews for residents and physicians; practice management resources; and publications that keep physicians up-to-date on important news and legislation.

One more exciting initiative: ISMA will soon be asking you to participate in a market research study of members, former members and non-members. In addition to surveying awareness of the above benefits and overall satisfaction with ISMA membership, the research will include questions to help determine the mix of benefits and services our physician members expect and value, to make sure we are offering the most beneficial member experience possible.

I’m looking forward to meeting you!
