ISMA members join annual advocacy visit to Capitol Hill
ISMA physician leaders traveled to Washington, D.C., last week to meet with Indiana members of Congress at the annual AMA-led National Advocacy Conference.

The three-day conference offered physicians from across the country the opportunity to talk directly with members of Congress about the need to reverse years of cuts to Medicare reimbursement and address other health care issues. This year’s conference was the largest ever, with more than 500 participants, including 17 from Indiana. Indiana’s delegation met one-on-one with Sens. Todd Young and Jim Banks, and with eight of Indiana’s nine U.S. House members.

Speakers at the conference’s plenary sessions included six House members, NBC White House correspondent Kelly O’Donnell, and Punchbowl News founders Anna Palmer and Jake Sherman.
