Abney promoted to IT director; 2 others join ISMA staff
Chris Abney, previously IT business analyst for ISMA, has been promoted to director of information technology, and Saajan Kumar has been hired as an associate data analyst – both key positions in ISMA’s evolution toward becoming a more data-driven organization. In addition, Molly Dagon, MSW, LCSW, has joined the staff as Physician Assistance Program case manager.

Chris Abney will continue overseeing ISMA’s technology, including cloud and on-premises infrastructure, communications, applications and end-user support, as well as HIPAA security, said Vice President of Finance Mark Ingold.

“As director, Chris will still coordinate and oversee all technical matters for the association as we continue to expand our capabilities following successes such as the ISMA Online mobile app, the ISMA Pulse member engagement tool and converting to the cloud,” Ingold said. “Chris will also coordinate the growing information technology team. The addition of an associate data analyst will increase the technical capacity of the association and allow us the capacity to implement new solutions and analysis to assist the organization in becoming more data driven.”

Associate Data Analyst Saajan Kumar, who joined ISMA on Feb. 1, is a 2019 graduate of Indiana University with a degree in informatics and a concentration in human-centered computing. Most recently, he worked for two years as IT financial analyst intern for the City of Indianapolis. Previously, he held IT internships with the Indianapolis Airport Authority and IU Health Methodist Hospital.

Molly Dagon, MSW, LCSW began Jan. 12 as Physician Assistance Program case manager. A private practice therapist, she earned her undergraduate and Master of Social Work degrees from Indiana University, her MSW with a concentration in mental health and addictions.
