Sign up to serve as Physician of the Day at the Statehouse
Each year, ISMA members have a unique opportunity to take part in our advocacy by volunteering as Physician of the Day at the Statehouse while the General Assembly is in session. In addition to being available to treat minor ailments of legislators and their staffs, you’ll be introduced before the House and Senate and can observe the legislative process in action. You may also have opportunities to discuss important issues with state senators and representatives.

With legislators resuming the debate over critical scope of practice issues, serving as the Physician of the Day may afford an opportunity to meet with senators and representatives and make your voice heard.

Opportunities are available during January and March, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on any day of the week except Friday. To serve as Physician of the Day, you must have an active license to practice medicine in Indiana and be comfortable performing CPR.

If you would like to volunteer, select an available date from the calendar, then enter your information and click Book. You will receive a confirmation via email.
