AMA members who are interested in leadership roles in medicine are invited to apply for nomination by the AMA to review committees of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

The ACGME committees seeking appointees are: 

1. Colon and rectal surgery.
2. Neurological surgery.
3. Obstetrics and gynecology.
4. Orthopedic surgery.
5. Otolaryngology-head and neck surgery.
6. Plastic surgery.
7. Surgery.

The AMA asks that potential applicants first read the qualifications listed at www.ismanet.org/AMAqualifications. Those who meet the qualifications may apply by completing and submitting the required documentation by the application deadline of Tuesday, Jan. 17.
