Reporting of abortion complications once again required
The Indiana State Department of Health (IDOH) has updated its guidance for the required reporting of abortion complications by licensed physicians, hospitals, and abortion clinics, after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit lifted an injunction that prevented enforcement of the requirement. A paper reporting form that must be completed and emailed to IDOH was also updated.

The IDOH guidance letter contains a list of 25 abortion complications that must be reported to the state. It also offers guidance on determining what constitutes a reportable complication of abortion and submitting the reporting form.
