If you or your business provided health care services, equipment, or supplies to Blue Plan patients at any time from July 24, 2008, to Oct. 4, 2024, you may be eligible to submit a claim for your share of a $2.8 billion settlement reached with Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
The settlement, reached earlier this year with all BCBS entities and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, is the largest antitrust settlement in the history of the U.S. health care sector.
The
virtual platform for settlement class members is now live. The opt-out/objection deadline is March 4, and the settlement claims period is open and will run until July 29, 2025. The platform provides important information such as the class notice, timeframes to submit claims, and provider and facility eligibility. It’s also where providers and facilities must submit claims for a share of the net settlement fund.
Information on how to submit a claim will also be shared during a live Zoom with Whatley Kallas, LLP, on Jan. 31 from noon to 1 p.m.
Registration is required for the webinar.
