ISMA is stepping up to get Hoosiers back on track for better health.
Many people have avoided routine health care due to the COVID-19 outbreak, which has led to medical emergencies and even deaths that could have been avoided.
Heart attacks, strokes, diabetes and other health issues won’t wait for the coronavirus to run its course, and neither should you. Well visits, important screenings and vaccinations still need to be maintained by you and your family. Follow these guidelines to get the preventive treatment you need while doing your part to prevent further spread of COVID-19.
While all Hoosiers are doing what they can to fight COVID-19, your everyday health is important, too. Contact your doctor and check in for your check-up today.

Telehealth
Due to COVID-19, some people are neglecting their own health out of fear of the coronavirus. That’s why more than 70% of Hoosier doctors during the public health emergency are using telehealth (or telemedicine) to treat patients and maintain social distance. Depending on your insurance coverage, here’s how telehealth works.
Remember – telehealth cannot help in an emergency. For immediate treatment, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest ER. Hospitals have taken every precaution to protect patients from COVID-19, so do not avoid going to the ER out of fear of the coronavirus.
For non-urgent treatment, contact your doctor and check in for your check-up today.

Health Coverage
Tens of thousands of Indiana residents have tested positive for COVID-19. But the pandemic also has resulted in the loss of employer-sponsored health insurance coverage for hundreds of thousands of Hoosier families.
Despite these challenging times, please don’t wait until a health issue turns serious. Health insurance and other coverage options are available to Hoosiers so you can continue to seek preventive and ongoing health care for you and your family.
