SESSION TITLE: Why Failure is a Key to Your Success
SPEAKER:

Erica Howe, MD, FSHM
Hospitalist and Founder of the Women Physicians Wellness Conference
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Dr. Howe is a board-certified hospitalist, educator, wife, and mother to three crazy kids. As a prolific speaker and lifelong advocate for improved wellness in medicine, she has given hundreds of talks both nationally and internationally on topics like conflict management and boundary setting. In 2018, Dr. Howe founded the Women Physicians Wellness Conference, a three-day event hosted in Aruba, Grand Cayman, and Amelia Island exclusively for women physicians to bring them together to share their struggles and strategies for success. She believes that women are stronger together and wants to inspire them to find the courage, clarity, and community to succeed on their own terms instead of someone else’s.

SESSION TITLE: Smarter System, Better Care: A Blueprint for Medicine 3.0
SESSION DESCRIPTION:
The U.S. healthcare system is expensive, inefficient, and reactive—leaving patients underserved and physicians overwhelmed. During this conversation, we’ll explore how the Medicine 3.0 model offers a smarter, more sustainable path forward through personalized prevention and upstream risk reduction. Attendees will leave with a renewed vision for practicing medicine that not only benefits patients but also restores meaning, agency, and health to the physicians delivering care.
SPEAKER:

Laurel Fick, MD
Internal Medicine, Niche Medical and Consulting
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
After 19 years in practice as a board-certified internal medicine physician and medical educator in traditional U.S. health care systems, Dr. Fick ventured into the insurance-free micropractice model to provide high-quality, affordable, and patient-centered primary care to her patients. Dr. Fick’s approach to medicine is centered around prevention, longevity, and a sturdy belief that the body is capable of self-care and healing through lifestyle optimization and sometimes a little Western medicine magic at Niche Medical and Consulting in Carmel. In pursuit of knowledge to take whole-body anticipatory care of her patients, Dr. Fick recently achieved certification from the Menopause Society and the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine.
