About the speaker:

With a background in corporate finance and health care administration, Joel Benson, JD, has a deep understanding of health care operations and tailors his legal advice with a business solution. Benson’s health care practice includes advising health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, medical device manufacturers and suppliers, home health agencies, long-term care facilities, physician groups and insurance companies.

As outside corporate and regulatory counsel, Benson helps health care clients navigate an increasingly complex environment in which he advises on regulatory risks arising out of financial relationships with physicians and other potential referral sources on matters involving the Stark Law, False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Statute on deal terms and corporate governance.
