Series description:

ISMA Women in Medicine (WIM) Discussion Forum sessions take place on Tuesdays every other month and are scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m. ET via Zoom. All female members of ISMA are welcome to join to connect, network and discuss topics of special significance to female physicians today.

Program description:

We will review how anger, which may be a result of burnout, is often a secondary emotion that feels better and more powerful compared to other negative emotions. We will review common originations of anger, develop a customized anger protocol, and discuss techniques to build mental muscle and encourage forgiveness.

Objectives:

At the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • Learn how to identify current day anger activators for themselves and their patients.
  • Uncover what may be the underlying cause of anger, and how seemingly insignificant past micro-traumas contribute to our responses.
  • Develop an individualized anger management protocol that will empower them to regain control with their reactions.
  • Gain insight on the power of vulnerability and forgiveness for themselves and others.

Speaker:
