This presentation will provide an overview of the more than 550 ICD-10-CM changes that take effect Oct. 1. Getting ahead of and being prepared for these changes is key to not being overwhelmed this fall! Advance preparation will also ensure that your revenue cycle is not impacted negatively by the upcoming diagnostic code changes.

Identify the deleted and revised ICD-10-CM codes
Explain how to prepare for upcoming ICD-10-CM changes

About the speaker:

Ellen Hinkle has over 18 years of medical billing and coding experience. She currently works as a compliance auditor for Bon Secours Mercy Heath. In this role, Hinkle is responsible for chart reviews and provider education to ensure minimal compliance risk to the organization. Previously, she worked for Visionary Health Group/Community Health Network as a manager for revenue cycle consulting. She has also taught the AAPC'S PMCC curriculum and was owner of Rizhink Medical Consulting, LLC.
