Capacity is limited to the first 25 registrants.

Program description:

 

“Advocacy Bootcamp” is ISMA’s inaugural advocacy leadership training program.  The goal of this hybrid program is to support and develop active, effective health policy advocates from among ISMA’s most engaged members.

 

Zoom or in-person sessions led by ISMA’s Government Relations (GR) team and other subject-matter experts will take place at noon one day each month from July through November 2023.  Participants will also take part in Physician Advocacy Day during ISMA’s Annual Convention weekend.

  • How policy is made in Indiana.
  • How physician can participate in the process.
  • How the Indiana legislative process works.

  • How to prepare for meetings with policy makers.

Designation Statement: The Indiana State Medical Association (ISMA) designates this live hybrid activity for a maximum of 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Accreditation Statement: The Indiana State Medical Association (ISMA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
