FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
All Community Physician Network physicians now ISMA members
(INDIANAPOLIS) – The Indiana State Medical Association (ISMA) is proud to welcome all Community Physician Network (CPN) physicians as ISMA members, strengthening their voice in the health care community and reaffirming their commitment to high-quality physician-led, team-based patient care, advocacy, physician wellness and professional development.
The decision to join ISMA reflects Community’s commitment to supporting its physicians as they work to provide exceptional care for patients. CPN is part of Community Health Network.
"We are thrilled to welcome more than 750 physicians from Community Physician Network into our membership," ISMA President William Pond, MD, said. "By working together, we will ensure that Indiana’s health care system continues to evolve and improve for both physicians and the patients they serve."
By joining ISMA, Community physicians will benefit from a unified platform that supports policy advocacy, continuing education, networking opportunities, and resources that help improve health care delivery throughout Central Indiana.
“Physicians are stronger together in the pursuit of making Indiana one of the best places to practice medicine, and helping Hoosiers to be among America’s healthiest,” said Ram Yeleti, MD, chief physician executive for Community Health Network.
John Kunzer, MD, president of CPN, underscored the importance of the collective advocacy made possible through ISMA membership.
“We each have an individual voice, but for many vital causes it’s helpful to join with others for our advocacy as well as our professional development,” Dr. Kunzer said.
ISMA has been at the forefront of advocating for physicians and their patients for more than 175 years, helping shape health care policy at the state and federal levels.
