ISMA needs your support at the Statehouse!
Please set aside some time in your schedule to support organized medicine at the Statehouse this legislative session! The more members who attend Physician Advocacy Day on Jan. 28 and who volunteer as Physician of the Day in February, the more we communicate our strength to our legislators.

Physician Advocacy Day (Jan. 28): This important day will begin with advocacy training at the Indiana State Library. Then, we’ll have lunch and meet with lawmakers at the Statehouse to share our legislative priorities. Don’t forget to wear your white coat! Sign up here, and then share the opportunity with your colleagues.

Physician of the Day: ISMA members are still needed to serve as Physician of the Day on several Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in February. Volunteers for this one-day commitment will be available to treat minor ailments of legislators and their staffs from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and will be introduced before the House and the Senate. To serve, physicians must be comfortable performing CPR and have malpractice insurance. Third-year residents may serve if they are fully licensed. Sign up here; for questions or to sign up via email, contact Rhonda Bennett at rbennett@ismanet.org or 317-261-2060.
