ISMA is seeking volunteers to serve as Physician of the Day at the Statehouse during the 2019 Indiana General Assembly. In addition to staffing the Physician of the Day office, participants are introduced before the House and Senate and can observe the legislative process. Serving in the Physician of the Day office also offers a chance to discuss important issues with state senators and representatives.

This one-day commitment entails being available to treat minor ailments of legislators and their staffs from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; volunteers must also be comfortable performing CPR.

This year, ISMA is responsible for staffing the Physician of the Day office every weekday except Friday during January and March. To sign up online, visit www.ismanet.org/PhysOfDay.
