New director of Government Relations joins ISMA
Grant Achenbach has joined the ISMA as director of Government Relations and is already hard at work at the Statehouse as the 2019 legislative session nears.

Most recently, Achenbach was legislative assistant to Rep. Cindy Kirchhofer, R-Beech Grove, chair of the House Committee on Public Health. He also staffed the Public Health Committee for the House Republican Caucus.

“We have had great interactions with Grant over the last several years in this role,” said Julie Reed, JD, ISMA executive vice president, in an announcement to staff. “He is well-known and liked within the lobby community, and he was recommended to me by many people.”

Achenbach has also worked in digital marketing and communications and is a former legislative intern. He graduated from Taylor University with a business degree and is a fourth-year student at IU McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis.

Achenbach will also serve as treasurer of the Indiana Medical Political Action Committee.
