Program Description

The opioid epidemic continues to be the focus of legislation and administrative rulemaking in Indiana. Join our team of ISMA representatives as they discuss Indiana’s legislative priorities surrounding opioid prescribing and dispensing. They will give an overview of state legislation that sets guidelines for opioid prescriptions and the expansion of treatment options in our state

Objectives:

At the end of this webinarattendees should be able to: 

  • Identify the 2018 legislative priorities and understand how they may impact physicians.
  • Understand existing compliance requirements.
  • Understand new legal requirements affecting medical practices in Indiana. 
  • Identify common controlled substance prescribing violations brought before the Indiana Medical Licensing Board.

Once registered, you will receive an immediate “Registration Confirmation” email.  

Within 24 hours, you will receive a secondary email containing a URL link to access the video recording, downloadable PowerPoint slides, pertinent handouts and the program evaluation form.  Please note you must complete the program evaluation in order to finish the course and receive your CME Certificate, which will be sent via email within 2 weeks.  At present, ISMA is processing certificates in batches, based on completion date.
