- Identify strategies for safer use of opioids in the opioid-tolerant population
- Demonstrate how to implement compassionate opioid-weaning protocols
- Comprehend a lifestyle-change paradigm for patients in treatment for chronic pain
- Help patients to be proactive and adherent in their own care
- Understand how individuals with addiction think in active disease
- Promote self-managed care to patients, to aid in accountability to others.
